“The Trial of the Forgotten Hero” – Storyline (Original Writing)

The episode opens with a quiet, pale dawn settling over Luminaris. Allan wakes before sunrise, the ache of yesterday’s battle still pulsing through his arms like fading echoes. He flexes his fingers, remembering the shock on everyone’s faces when a “classless nobody” defeated a mid-tier monster barehanded.

He hates the attention.
But now, it follows him everywhere.

Whispers in the Guild Hall

As Allan enters the guild hall, every conversation breaks, only to spark again in hurried whispers behind his back.

“Did you see how he fought yesterday?”
“No skills… no class… who fights like that?”
“He’s cheating—has to be.”

Allan keeps his head low, avoiding their eyes. But admiration and envy swirl around him in equal measure.

Then—
GONG! GONG!

The guild bell pierces the room. Every adventurer stops. A special announcement.

The Crescent Ruins Reawaken

The guild master steps forward, voice heavy with urgency:

“The Crescent Ruins have opened. Once every five years, they test not class or skills… but instinct, resolve, and the strength of one’s spirit.”

A place where classes don’t matter. A place where someone like Allan might finally have a chance to belong.

But then comes the catch:

“The ruins are unstable. No adventurer may enter alone. Parties only.”

Around him, teams form instantly. Friends grab friends. Veterans recruit rising stars.
Allan is left standing alone.
Again.

A Partner Steps Forward

Just as Allan turns to leave, a soft voice cuts through the murmurs.

Allan… will you join me?

It’s Mia, the timid healer who had been injured during yesterday’s mission. She trembles as she speaks, but her eyes—this time—are steady.

“I don’t have offensive skills. And I’m scared… but when you fought yesterday, I felt safe for the first time. I want to get stronger too.”

Allan hesitates. The ruins are dangerous, deadly even. But the courage it took for Mia to ask…
He nods.

“Let’s go. Together.”

Inside the Crescent Ruins

They enter the ancient dungeon, greeted by cold air and shifting illusions that distort memory, emotion, and reality. Other adventurers use fire skills to burn illusions or detection magic to expose traps.

Allan has none of that.
He relies solely on instinct.

Mia stays close, her hands glowing faintly with healing magic. Yet something strange happens: each spell meant to heal instead supercharges Allan’s strength, flooding him with raw physical power.

She panics.

“I–I’m doing something wrong!”

But Allan shakes his head.

“Maybe your magic works differently on me.
And that’s not a bad thing.”

The Stone Guardian Awakens

At the dungeon’s heart stands a colossal statue carved from moonstone. As they approach, its eyes ignite.

A deep mechanical voice booms:

“Scanning…
Designation: Healer.
Designation: …Null?”

The guardian cannot read Allan. To the ancient system, a classless being is an error.
A threat.

It moves—fast.

A Battle Against the System

The guardian assaults Allan with ruthless precision. He dodges each crushing blow not through technique, but pure instinct. Mia fires healing spell after healing spell, each one further empowering Allan’s body, sharpening his reflexes, amplifying his strikes.

With one final burst of strength, Allan leaps upward—an impossible, sky-shattering jump—bringing his fist down onto the guardian’s core.

CRACK—BOOOOOOM!

The stone giant collapses.
The ruins fall silent.

Recognition at Last

A glowing inscription appears on the shattered floor:

“True strength is not granted. It is chosen.”

For the first time, a dungeon—an ancient system older than the guild itself—acknowledges Allan not as an anomaly, but as someone who defies the world’s rules.

He and Mia emerge from the ruins as the only successful challengers. The guild erupts in disbelief. Mia nearly collapses in relief, tears streaming.

“You did it!” she laughs.

“No,” Allan replies softly. “We did.”

For the first time in a long while, he allows himself a real smile.

A Shadow in the Crowd

But as the celebration grows, a shrouded figure observes from the distance.

“A classless hero… he’s finally appeared.”

The screen fades to black as the figure turns away, leaving the promise of a forgotten prophecy hanging in the air.

End of Episode 5.
